Ivan Borisov
Ivan Borisov, jazz guitarist, composer and arranger, laureate of many domestic and foreign jazz festivals, leader of the band IvanandaJazz. The musician’s repertoire includes a large number of his own works, as well as classical jazz standards in modern processing in the styles of pop, jazz, fusion, swing, bossa and others. Ivan Borisov is engaged in pedagogical activities, gives master classes in guitar, improvisation in music educational institutions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Minsk.
1986-1989 - studied at the Molodechno School of Music in the class “classical guitar” (Belarus). In 1990 - admission to the Gnesins Moscow Pedagogical Institute, in the Jazz guitar class. During my studies in
Institute performed at various festivals, competitions, concerts.
Laureate of the Mogilev Festival of Guitarists. Since 1990 - performances in various institutions of Minsk: White Tower,
Graffiti, Spanish Corner, Zhuravinka, etc.
Since 1991, he took part in tours around the country and abroad (Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Bonn, Munich) with famous domestic and foreign musicians (Zbigniew Namyslovsky, David Goloshchekin, German Lukyanov, Igor Butman, Oleg Kireev, Andrey Tovmasyan, Irina Tamaeva ) and many others.
In 2000-2001 he worked in the Belarusian State Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus under the direction of Mikhail Yakovlevich Finberg.
Since 2004 - performances in Moscow at the B-2, JVL clubs, the club on Brestskaya, Le-club with various compositions: duet, trio, quartet, band.
Member of jazz festivals: Jazz on the Dnieper (Dnepropetrovsk, 1987-89), Vitebsk autumn 1987, Jazz-Cheboksary 1988, Jazz on the Volga, White Nights
St. Petersburg, Moscow Youth Jazz Festival 2006, Jazz on the Moscow River 2007, Slavic Bazaar 2009. In 2011, 2012 - a speech at the first regional IT conference in Belarus with famous Belarusian
musicians. 2013 year performance at the Live in Blue bay jazz festival in Koktebel.
Currently, Ivan Borisov is working on the development of the author’s project IvanandaJazz, writes his own music, creates arrangements of jazz works in a modern style (fusion, modal jazz, jazz-rock), gives master classes on playing the guitar.
